Kindergarten Happenings!

Gym:
Kindergarten has been exploring movement skills in the gym. We have been exploring with different equipment. One of our main goals has been learning to move and play safely in the gym while still exerting effort and having fun.

Family Dance:

The Family Dance was a huge success! Thank you to all of our amazing parent volunteers for putting on such a great community event and thank you to our school families for coming out to dance! 

Art and Fine Motor Work:

Kindergarten has been working hard to improve fine motor skills through art. We are working to complete projects individually and as a group. 

Valentine's Day:

Valentine's Day was a fun day with a focus on friendship! Thank you for all of the effort put in by everyone to help out their children.

Mad About Math Night Thursday Night!
Mad About Math Night invitations went home with your children last week. Please see the photo below if your invite managed to jump out of a backpack.

Writing:
Kindergarten students have started writing sentences. We work as a group and build a group journal while learning about capitalization and punctuation.

K-4 Elboya Family Dance:

Please mark your calendars for the Elboya Family Neon Dance Party on Thursday, February 22 from 5:30-7:30PM.  This dance is for children and their families in grades K – 4. Cost: $5 per ticket or $20 per family. We will be sending home ticket order forms with your child next week. Plan to come out and enjoy the party!

Scholastic:

Scholastic catalogues went home in Yellow Folders. If you wish to order, please send in your order with your child. Payment can be made by cheque or by credit card online. Orders are due by February 8th.

Thursday/Friday:
Thursday is a regular day at school with regular hours. Friday there are no classes for either class as it is a PD day.
