Field Trip Volunteers Needed and Volunteer Tea Info

Volunteers Needed:
We have a field trip and scheduling change coming up! We will be going to Safety City on May 24th from 9:05 to 11:30. In order to make the field trip happen, we are in need of at least 6 brave volunteers. If you have your criminal record check completed and you are able to volunteer, please email Miss Haines at mvhaines@cbe.ab.ca
Afternoon Class Schedule change: Both the morning and afternoon classes will be going on the trip together. That means the afternoon class will be attending school from 9:05am-12:00pm on May 24th rather than their usual time. This schedule change will make it possible for the afternoon class to take part in the field trip.
Students will need to wear a helmet on this field trip. Should your child not have a helmet, please let Miss Haines know and we will find an appropriate helmet to use. Please see the information below about appropriate helmet sizing.
All students are required to bring their own bicycle helmets for safety reasons.
Please see diagram below for instructions on a proper fitting helmet.

The Alberta Traffic Safety Act states the following: (this information is available on their website)
Alberta Traffic Safety Act, Part 6 Division 5 Section 111 & 112: Cyclists younger than 18 are required by law to wear an approved bicycle helmet. Children in trailers and on trail-a-bikes are required by law to wear an approved bicycle helmet. Adults are encouraged to wear a helmet.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We look forward to seeing you at Safety City!
